Work Schedule
8:00 am - 5:00 pm; Monday - Friday with regular evening and weekend hours required in conjunction with athletic event schedules.
Primary Purpose of Position
Senior Director of Video Services will oversee the Video Production Unit that is responsible for creating video content for external use and in-game presentation. Create and maintain the direction of the athletic department's visual brand
Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalency and one year of experience related to the area of assignment in a broadcast television, radio and emerging media environment; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

University Preferred Qualifications:
Graduation from a four-year college or university in radio, television, and motion picture and two years of experience in producing television program and audiovisual materials; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Job Duties

  • Oversight of Video Production Unit
  • Responsibility for creative video content, including content for Charlotte49ers.com, athletic social media accounts, and other strategic distribution
  • Responsibility for creating video content for in-game presentation, with emphasis on football, men's and women's basketball
  • Responsibility for coordination of production for live events, either for linear TV stations or streaming productions per Conference USA broadcast requirements
  • Responsibility for creating video content to support campaigns for athletic department sponsors
  • Responsible for hiring, training and supervising staff members in Video Production Unit

Other Work Responsibilities
  • Serve as main athletic department liaison to university communication video staff.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field and a minimum of 3 years experience preferably in college athletics environment
  • Demonstrated video shooting and editing experience
  • Proven ability to communicate and work effectively with others
  • Portfolio of video shooting and editing experience.
