Job Summary:



The Department of Radiology is seeking applicants for a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant position, in the Division of Musculoskeletal Imaging and Intervention at the University of Colorado Hospital under the supervision of the Chief of Musculoskeletal Radiology Procedures. We are open to applicants from all academic ranks. We are a high-volume section of 6-8 full-time faculty, 1 APP and 2 fellows performing a variety of diagnostic and interventional procedures including image-guided spine augmentation and radiofrequency ablation, cryoablation, joint and spine injections, and biopsies.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical duties involve primarily the provision of outpatient and inpatient clinical service support as well as both procedural and clinical activities. The individual will be trained by the MSK Radiology physicians and APPs in image guided minor procedures including joint injections and aspirations, biopsies, and spine injections. The job will require clinical duties in both the inpatient and outpatient setting including pre-operative H&P, informed consent, patient preparation for procedures, inpatient rounding, family and patient education, admission and discharge from the hospital, and coordination of longitudinal care of MSK Radiology patients. Evenings and weekends are not required for this position.

Instructor:

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Master's Degree in NP or meets qualifications for a PA-Graduation from an NCCPA-approved Physician Assistant program
  • Current Colorado State Physician Assistant license by the time of hire.
  • Prescriptive authority is required


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Experience in interventional radiology or spine surgery
  • Ability to work independently
  • Flexibility in daily tasks
  • Works well with a team member


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:



  • Effective communication skills with patients, peers, and other specialty faculty


This rank is dependent on a combination of academic accomplishments, career pathway, as well as input from the department's Promotion and Tenure committee.

Senior Instructor:

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Master's Degree in NP or meets qualifications for a PA-Graduation from an NCCPA-approved Physician Assistant program

Anticipated Pay Range:



The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE:

This is an open-rank position and could be categorized as Instructor or Senior Instructor. Salaries are based on years of experience and are equal across all ranks. Rank will be determined during the interview process after discussion between you and the department about your previous experience.

Instructor - $103,000 - $139,000

Senior Instructor - $103,000 - $139,000

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level.
