A professional services company in East LA is looking for an Accounting Manager for their team. The Accounting Manager will oversee accounting operations, oversee and improve AP, manage month-end close, assist with the internal audit, tax compliance, oversee purchasing, lead the inventory count, review expenses, and implement the expense policy. To be successful in this role, the Accounting Manager should have strong people management skills, have strong communication skills, and be able to streamline and implement new policies and structures. What do you need for this Accounting Manager role? * Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field * 6+ years of accounting experience * Advanced Excel * Inventory exposure * PE experience a plus What will you do in this Accounting Manager role? * Lead the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. * Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. * Analyze financial statements for discrepancies, providing recommendations for resolution. * Oversee the AP team to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments. * Establish and maintain vendor relationships, addressing discrepancies or disputes. * Monitor AP aging reports and manage cash flow for payment obligations. * Manage inventory accounting processes, including costing, valuation, and reconciliations. * Work closely with operations and supply chain teams to ensure accurate inventory counts and reporting. * Implement and improve controls related to inventory transactions and reporting. * Supervise, mentor, and train accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement. * Provide performance feedback and support career development opportunities. * Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency. * Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and other regulatory standards. * Provide financial insights and support to management through detailed reporting and variance analysis.
