BIM Internship

Role Responsibilities

The BIM intern will report to a BIM project modeler/coordinator. This position will assist in generating and managing Building Information Model (BIM) projects to support decision-making regarding constructability and other forms of project management.

Tasks

The BIM Intern will be assigned large scale, commercial projects based in offices across the nation, and will be expected to three-dimensionally model and detail projects related to drywall, metal framing, metal deck, and other specialty construction work scope. In addition to project modelling, the BIM Intern will be trained on equipment and software as needed.

Accountability

You will help model, coordinate, and pre-plan activities associated with projects to ensure that goals and objectives are accomplished within prescribed time frame and budgeting parameters. You will maintain open communication lines with all working relationships, follow up to ensure items for which the job is accountable are being received and understood, and earn and maintain customer's trust. All while upholding the core values of the organization and working to accomplish the mission of the organization on every job.
