Responsible for managing and overseeing the financial accounting, reporting, and controls across multiple areas within the healthcare system, including Capital & Property, Revenue & Cash, and Expenses & Accruals. Each area is led by a dedicated team of professionals focused on their specific accounting responsibilities, as outlined below. The managers will collaborate as a team and cross-train to ensure mutual support and seamless operation across the system. This position will be responsible for the Revenue Accounting function with a focus on revenue recognition to ensure that all revenue streams, including patient services, insurance reimbursements, and government programs, are accurately accounted for in compliance with GAAP and healthcare regulations.Opportunities for future cross-functional education include the following areas of accounting:* The Capital & Property Accounting function ensures accurate recording, tracking, depreciation, and financial reporting of all physical assets, property, capital expenditures, and fixed assets. The Capital & Property Accounting role will work closely with various departments to ensure compliance with asset management policies, regulatory requirements, and accounting standards.* The Cash, Expenses & General Accounting function will focus on cash flow, expense tracking, and general accounting functions ensuring accurate and timely processing of expenses, cash and investments, and compliance with accounting standards for financial reporting. The individual will collaborate with various departments, manage day-to-day accounting operations, and implement internal controls to maintain financial accuracy and integrity.

Position: Manager, Accounting - MLS
Shift: dayshift

Experience:
* Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in the healthcare sector.
* Advanced proficiency in accounting software and general ledger systems (ie. EPIC, PeopleSoft)
* Excellent knowledge of GAAP, regulatory requirements, and healthcare specific accounting standards.
* Proficiency in Excel and other financial analysis tools
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail in financial reporting and account reconciliation.
* Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross functional teams.
* Proven ability to lead with agility and foster a culture of innovation.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required. CPA or advanced degree (MBA) preferred.
