Job Objective:
Provides administrative and technical services to operations department by implementing administrative systems, procedures, and policies, and assists in the management of daily departmental operations.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepares and files state regulatory forms for new well completions, re-completions, multi-completions, saltwater injection wells, disposal wells, and other permits, along with well research and data required for these permits.
  • Distributes authorizations for expenditures (AFE's) including approvals from the working interest owners.
  • Coordinates set-ups for wells for potential tests, mechanical integrity tests, and other required regulatory tests.
  • Produce and maintain daily workover reports, tubing details, acid, swabbing, perforating, and wireline reports.
  • Monitors and maintains regulatory work for the assigned property.
  • Monitors and maintains company owned inventory of gas lift supplies on a monthly basis.
  • Coordinates pressure surveys and maintains a database on static runs.
  • Prepares summaries on assigned reservoirs. Monitors and identifies mechanical problems on assigned wells.
  • Prepares computer generated reservoir production graphs.
  • Drafts and updates auto-cad schematics and flowline maps, as needed.
  • Reviews completed tubing details on workovers to update company maps and database records.
  • Monitors and maintains well list, through a 3rd party service, for annual sampling.
  • Provides administrative assistance to supervisor in meeting management; assembles background materials, prepares agendas, and records action items for various meetings.
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, and verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning administrative projects and expediting work results.
  • Maintains the departmental database and files, and manages departmental records.
  • Organizes work by reading and routing correspondence, collecting information, and initiating and responding to telecommunications.
  • Answers, responds to, and/or appropriately directs telephone calls from staff, public, and outside vendors.
  • Coordinates Operations Department's internal meetings, conferences, and teleconferences.
  • Maintains Operations Department's correspondence files.
  • Coordinates travel arrangements and business expense reporting for Operations Department personnel.
  • Coordinates special projects as assigned by Area Operations Manager.
  • Maintains company and rental compressor inventories.
  • Assists with coordinating and maintaining contract pumper contracts.
  • Coordinates, compiles, and distributes weekly production/regulatory meeting spreadsheet.
  • Adheres to the company's values - integrity, ownership, urgency, alignment and innovation.
  • Supports company vision and mission.
  • Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings.

Other Job Responsibilities:

  • Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Three (3) years minimum oil and gas exploration experience.
  • Ability to accurately solve problems and exceptional proficiency in data management.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public.
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outstanding administrative and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in the use and application of the following software:
    • Required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook).
    • Preferred: Working knowledge of Autocad and SAP software
  • Preferred Experience in Texas, Wyoming, and/or New Mexico Regulatory Environments

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year university or college with a degree in business, or related field or equivalent experience.
