Job Summary: The role of this position is maintaining Microsoft Exchange, Office 365 and the Windows servers in the environment both physical and virtual. It's key role is to oversee the backups, system upgrades and improving efficiency by monitoring, installing and evaluating key systems associated with email and Office 365 applications for learners and staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in related field and 4 years experience or, a combination of experience and education sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.

Licensing Requirements: Microsoft certifications such as MCSA, MCSE or MCITP Server Administrator or equivalent certification in relevant programs desired.

Hiring Range: $51,488-$65,648

Job Specific Task List:



  • Oversees and manages Microsoft Exchange in a hybrid environment; manages and administers licenses and contracts; performs upgrades, resolves server issues and account management; - (Essential)
  • Responsible for certificate updates, mail routing, distribution lists, virus and spam protection systems for incoming and outgoing email filtering; manages quarantines and performs system audits. - (Essential)
  • Ensures the integrity of system backups are performed; responds to notifications of outage during business and off peak hours; monitors and maintains system performances. - (Essential)
  • Lead integrator of the various Office 365 components such as OneDrive or SharePoint/Teams. - (Essential)
  • Participates in and supports capacity planning and development of long-term strategic goals for systems; develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); maintains a knowledge base of system changes. - (Essential)
  • Provides mentoring and cross training support for other team member in support of the administration of Microsoft Exchange, Office 365, Anti-Virus and Anti-Spam tools. - (Essential)
  • Resolves complex integration issues connecting multiple vendor systems through common elements; develops, enhances and sustains procedures, processes and systems, including checklists and forms; develops programs to accomplish necessary objectives; provides backup and support to other employees within the department - (Essential)
  • Partners with functional and technical stakeholders to ensure communications are clear, effective, and timely; Maintains collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as functional users, vendors, and peer institutions; Exhibits exemplary communication skills and professionalism; Establishes and maintains effective working relationships; Utilizes appropriate communication methods; communicates via available technology (phone, email, virtual meeting) or in person; can travel between campuses and off-site locations; Must have a dedicated high speed connection for connection to the college's resources remotely; Must be reachable by phone during hours the college is operating; Reachable by phone twenty-four hours a day seven days a week; Flexibility in work schedule is required. - (Essential)
