Position Highlights & Primary Responsibilities:



  • Oversee a team of AbleTo Behavioral Coaches and ensure that those providers are prepared and able to provide AbleTo programs to participants across the country
  • Participate in the recruitment and onboarding of new Behavioral Coaches to the AbleTo provider community
  • Provide leadership to Behavioral Coaches in the AbleTo community through focused, high-quality training and education initiatives
  • Ensure that all Coaches on the team are performing at a high level, are engaged in their work at AbleTo, and are compliant with AbleTo standards and evidence-based protocols
  • Conduct supervisory administrative task, including time sheet review, payroll approval, monitor out-of-session hours, employee relations support, regular performance goals check-ins, annual performance reviews, compensation planning
  • Initiate, document, and complete ongoing performance management activities, as needed, up to and including termination, as warranted, to ensure the safety and satisfaction of AbleTo participants and health plan clients
  • Ensure that all providers on the team are utilizing industry best practices to meet the needs of AbleTo participants, including those with medical and behavioral health complexity and risk factors
  • Develop strong relationships with providers, gather feedback about their AbleTo experience, and implement plans to support and improve service delivery
  • Lead clinical or cross-departmental projects in support of AbleTo's strategic objectives
  • Maintain the highest standards of confidentiality as described in the organization's HIPAA Privacy & Security policies and comply with annual training requirements
  • Participate as a member of the care team including therapist, program advisor, and other potential internal and external team members
  • Communicate regularly with AbleTo Care team
  • Facilitate and attend regularly scheduled Team Meetings and Town Halls
  • Ensure updated availability or scheduling for coaching services in the EnableTo and Coach Tool platforms to meet the minimum standard for posted hours
  • Participates in quality improvement activities on an ongoing basis, including providing feedback and determining intervention in response to formal quality reviews
  • May provide additional activities upon supervisory request such as testing new platform features, participating in focus groups, outreach, and other activities
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Quality Management Responsibilities: 30% of the position is spent on oversight of participant safety and participant satisfaction

Required Qualifications:



  • Masters in Behavioral health-related field or a Bachelor's degree with a National Board Health and Wellness (NBHWC) or International Coaching Federation(ICF) Certification
  • 3+ years of experience coaching or counseling adults within a mental health or wellness and health capacity
  • 3+ years of supervisory and/or management experience

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
