Overview

LMI seeks a Senior Portfolio Liaison to support the United States Border Patrol HQ located in Washington, DC. Join our team of collaborative self-starters focused on delivering practical and efficient solutions to help our client keep U.S. borders safe and facilitate travel and trade. As part of our high-performing team, you will augment our vital work to provide "eyes and ears" technology to protect our nation. Travel may be required once or twice a month to locations along the southwest and other U.S. borders.

Responsibilities

You will be the primary point of contact for the client's portfolio manager and expected to work for their office(s) in Washington, DC. Each portfolio comprises projects that acquire and maintain technology, including communications, sensor, and surveillance systems and the infrastructure that supports them. You will monitor our team's work across all projects in the portfolio and bring back client needs so we can ensure our resources are assigned optimally. You will also coordinate with liaisons for the other portfolios to ensure an enterprise view of all projects. Other responsibilities:

    Act as the government Portfolio Directors' (PfD) main points of contact for support
  • Communicate PfD's strategy, requirements, and priorities to the Team & Task Leads
  • Plan and execute support for new and dynamic requirements defined by the government
  • Align assigned staff to adjust to portfolio priorities
  • Communicate Portfolio Directors' strategy, requirements, and priorities to team and task leads
  • Identify and communicate portfolio requirements to task leads
  • Monitor day-to-day activities of the team leads and supporting staff
  • Manage and report on schedule/support for all programs/projects/initiatives/products
  • Identify and communicate portfolio requirements to Task Leads
  • Monitor day-to-day activities of the Team Leads and supporting staff
  • Manage & report on schedule/support for all programs, projects, initiatives, products
  • Monitor LMI work for the Portfolios/Directorates and ensure the appropriate staffing mix is allocated to these government organizations.


Qualifications

  • Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance abuse, and employment verifications; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a suitability determination.
  • Previous work with CBP's Integrated Fixed Tower (IFT), Remove Video Surveillance Systems (RVSS), Mobile and Agent-Centric Systems (MACS), and/or Field Surveillance Services (FSS) portfolios is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience and a Master's degree in engineering or a related discipline; or 12+ years and a Bachelor's degree.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus, including International Council on Systems Engineering (INCOSE) (i.e., ASEP, CSEP, or ESEP) and Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • Experience fostering collaborative and flexible approaches to resourcing and task completion across portfolios, programs, and projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively solve problems.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • A true team player who maintains a positive attitude in a dynamic environment.

Target salary range: $119,646 - $211,140. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
