Entry-Level Civil Engineer Requisition Number: 2024-1350-33 Are you a recent engineering graduate eager to launch your career with a company dedicated to growth, innovation, and employee development? S&ME is looking for an eager and dedicated full-time Entry- Level Civil Engineer to join our Civil team in Charlotte, North Carolina. As an Entry-Level Civil Engineer, you'll play a vital role in designing and developing projects for our Energy, Industrial, and Government based clients. Your Day-to-Day: Support a range of projects involving natural gas pipelines and facilities, electrical distribution and transmission systems, renewables, landfills and associate facilities, mining facilities, earthen dams, water resources including stream restoration, and nuclear facility supporting infrastructure. Engage in conceptual design, engineering analysis, detailed calculations, and cost estimating under the guidance of Professional Engineers. Prepare drawings, calculations, specifications, and reports, as well as conducting site inspections. Assist with grading plans, stormwater management, utility systems design, permitting, and seamlessly communicate with clients, ensuring projects are both innovative and efficient. What You Bring: A Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering or a related field 0-2 years of progressive experience in civil engineering design projects Aspiring to take the Professional Engineer (P.E.) exam within the next 4-5 years. A well-organized multitasker with strong prioritization skills. Possess excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Familiarity with AutoCAD, Civil3D, and stormwater/utility modeling software is a plus.
