Perform technical duties associated with the delivery of pharmaceutical services, including, but not limited to: medication distribution and inventory management, sterile and non-sterile compounding, medication reconciliation, cross-functional proficiency, technical expertise, and communication skills. Qualifications EDUCATION High School diploma or equivalent required. College degree desirable. EXPERIENCE Previous hospital experience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred. Community/retail pharmacy technician experience or academic training/experience in health related fields also considered. LICENSURE Registration with the State of Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection is required by completion of probationary period and active Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) or equivalent certification is required on or within 1 year of, date of hire. SPECIAL SKILLS Weekend availability (position typically covers every other weekend). Good communication skills with other healthcare professionals and team members. Ability to effectively work with computer and technology equipment, including the ability to perform basic troubleshooting related to said technology. YNHHS Requisition ID 124961 |
