JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS: University Health Services (UHS), a department within the Division of Student Affairs has an excellent opportunity for a Medical Technologist, for its comprehensive on-campus healthcare resource specializing in outpatient student health including the treatment of medically urgent problems and ongoing health concerns. UHS provides preventive care, education, and resources to help students live a healthy lifestyle. The Medical Technologist - Pathology is responsible for proper collection, precise testing, and accurate reporting of clinical laboratory specimens. In addition, the Medical Technologist provides consultation to clinicians regarding laboratory analysis and interpretation of results.
This position is a 75% FTE and works approximately 9 months a year, including one weekend per month. This position requires a bachelor's degree or higher plus three years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. This position requires the following clearances: PA State Police Criminal Background Check, PA Child Abuse History Clearance, and Federal (FBI) Fingerprint Criminal Background Check.
