Position Summary Under the supervision of the Director, the Assistant Director will manage complex sponsored research grants, contracts, gift and faculty 'start-up' funds. The Assistant Director will also manage all onboarding and training for new Sponsored Research Officers (SPOs), assign and delegate tasks to SPOs, and supervise SPOs as necessary. The Assistant Director will advise Principal Investigators on grant funds management and budget planning, new funding opportunities, and status of accounts. Review proposals for accuracy and conformance with University and sponsor policies. Interpret funding agency and University guidelines and terms of grant contracts. Monitor appropriate spending, analyze and revise budgets, and develop financial reports for sponsoring agents to ensure compliance with required grant reporting. The Assistant Director will also run and distribute sponsored research financial maintenance reports to clear deficits, suspense and budget exceptions. Assume the role of Acting Director in their absence. Qualifications Required Education: Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $100,000.00 to USD $110,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer.
