Job Duties: Vice President, Client Reporting with Goldman Sachs & Co. LLC in Salt Lake City, Utah. Monitor daily analysis of large volumes of Over the Counter (OTC) derivative trade analysis, assessing the population for potential booking errors from either a Firm or counterparty perspective. Monitor for margin disputes and investigate drivers for positional (operational breaks) and valuation (pricing differences within the portfolio). Oversee the dispute resolution process with counterparties that are at potential risk of financial default, identified through partnership with the Firm's Counterparty risk team. Engage across the Firm's various internal teams when diagnosing and resolving these differences. Partner with professionals from a wide range of areas, including Credit Risk Management, Legal and Compliance, Sales, Trading, Risk Management, and other Operations Departments to mitigate counterparty credit risk. Interact extensively with clients to de-escalate and resolve client disputes and queries, as well as to perform new client data on-boarding. Engage with clients regarding queries on margin disputes as well as portfolio reconciliation breaks to troubleshoot and resolve issues, which entails owning a portfolio of client relationships and manage their breaks and queries end to end and managing client escalations and engage with dedicated client experience and firm Sales teams to ensure client service standards are met. Oversee team members monitoring of team data models (Alteryx), assisting them in troubleshooting if there are any runtime errors as well as ongoing support to ensure timely completion of the analysis and creation of the team's daily workflow of breaks for further investigation. Co-manage the BI assets for the global team including databases, Alteryx canvases and Tableau dashboards. Supervise a team of professionals by helping them to navigate their careers and deliver timely, ongoing, and constructive feedback. Coach them on career growth and skill development as well as oversee their functional expertise growth through leading knowledge sharing sessions and trainings. Review and document team workflow procedures and manuals and create and direct training modules for new hires and knowledge sharing across the global team. Oversee several control functions, ensuring the integrity of the team's processes, and manage and communicate with senior leaders regarding key daily team escalations of queries and issues from the team workflows. Oversee team approval queues for daily workflows, which entails assessing evidence and support compiled by team analysts, collaborating with other managers to ensure completion of required approval queues each day, and monitor completion of the team's daily work queues. Must be willing to work with internal proprietary software and technologies, but no prior knowledge required. Job Requirements: Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Finance, Data Analytics, a relevant engineering degree such as Chemical Engineering, or related field. Five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related role. Prior experience must include five (5) years of experience in the following: utilizing operations tools and technologies specifically developed for financial services firm operations; applying subject matter expertise in validating trade and portfolio margin calculation information, including experience with streamlining essential reporting and knowledge sharing; driving process enhancements and improvements leveraging understanding of industry trends and standards; interacting directly with clients as well as designated service providers to investigate trade bookings; working with OTC (over the counter) derivative products and overall trade booking lifecycle, including problem solving and engaging multiple teams to resolve discrepancies and differences; risk management ability to assess process effectiveness and communicate effectively on escalations and issues; and executing work items within operational work queues to ensure proper daily progress as expected, proper risk management and escalation of aging and high value work items. Prior experience must include one (1) year of experience in the following: leading and coaching professionals to grow their skills and increase their learning/responsibilities to promote career growth.
