Description
The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of the company's equipment and facilities by effectively managing a team of multi-craft technicians, planners, and administration personnel in the implementation and execution of maintenance programs and strategies. Core competencies include maintaining equipment records, developing maintenance strategies, determining parts inventory requirements, maintaining the MRO budget in compliance with purchasing procedures, and performance of any other related work when necessary. This position reports directly to the Plant Engineering Manager and works in tandem with the Utilities Manager, Wastewater Manager, and Reliability Engineering Manager to maintain all Daisy Brand assets. All work directed by the Maintenance Manager will ensure compliance with food quality, food safety and OSHA safety regulations. The Maintenance Manager supervises maintenance technicians in the repair, maintenance, and installation of production equipment and process systems. Directs the Maintenance Planners in the scheduling and planning of maintenance activities. Provides oversight and technical direction in the development of preventative maintenance procedures in collaboration with the engineering department. Inspects production machinery and equipment for compliance to operational and regulatory standards. Reviews maintenance systems and reports relevant metrics to plant leadership to drive continuous improvement and maintenance strategies. The Maintenance Manager ensures equipment and utilities serving the production process operate at the highest level, ensuring food safety and quality across the plant. The Maintenance Manager has the authority to take immediate corrective actions when dealing with Food Safety and Food Quality concerns and is required to report these issues to their immediate supervisor and/or Quality Manager for further action if required. Another Maintenance employee, trained in the Maintenance Managers duties, will fill in for Maintenance Manager in their absence. Principal Duties:
