Summary:

The Motion Analysis Center (MAC) Engineer is a key member of the interdisciplinary team responsible for assessing and analyzing movement impairments in patients. The role of the MAC Engineer involves utilizing advanced diagnostic techniques and state-of-the-art technology to develop evidence-based treatment plans aimed at improving patient mobility and overall quality of life, primarily through gait analysis, upper extremity analysis, spine, and sports analysis. This individual provides engineering and technical support to CCMC motion laboratory, primarily related to clinical motion capture and physiologic measurement. Additionally, the MAC Engineer will be responsible for developing experimental biomechanical studies related to motion analysis and clinical programs that models motion using marker or marker-less technologies.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a field of study that includes training in biomechanics and motion analysis (e.g., Engineering, Kinesiology, Biomechanics, or a related field) required.

  • 3+ years of relevant experience working in motion lab, research, etc. required.

  • Doctorate (PhD or DPT) is preferred.

Position requires an individual with:

  • Experience in motion capture and/or in a clinical gait analysis laboratory (preferably BTS gait lab system).

  • Proficiency in analytical and programming languages related to movement analysis, including Vicon software, Matlab, LabView, statistical analysis, and the MS office applications.

  • Ability and desire to work as an integral member of a multidisciplinary health-care team, as well as interact with clinical subjects undergoing motion analysis.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification

  • Certification in motion analysis or related technology is preferred.
