For a limited time MaineHealth Stephens Hospital is offering up to $10,000 Sign on bonus for all eligible Ultrasonographers!

  • Eligible candidates are hired (offer accepted) into a Full Ultrasonographer position. Bonus amount prorated for Part time hires, per diem hires are ineligible.
  • Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months separation from employment.

Summary:
Under the direction of a Radiologist, the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer role performs ultrasound procedures for use in the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of disease.

Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)

1. Education: Graduate of an approved School of Sonography or equivalent combination of training and experience to be eligible for registration as a Sonographer through American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS). 2. License/Certifications: Current American Registry of Diagnostic and Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) Certification or full registration in at least one specialty area is expected according to departmental/local health system requirements. Current BLS certification required or must obtain within 30 days of start date. 3. Experience: Six months of Diagnostic Ultrasound experience preferred. 4.
