Kitchen Utility Assistant - Webster Campus

St. Ann's Community is currently looking for a full time and per diem Dining Services Kitchen Utility Assistant for the independent living facility at Cherry Ridge located on the Webster Campus. The primary focus of this position is to clean, sanitize and properly store all china, glassware, flatware and kitchen equipment, including tables, carts, floors, shelving and walls

Job Description:



  • Responsible for the organization, proper handling and delivery of main meal components via food trucks to nursing households
  • Delivers missing food items required by nursing households
  • Records and documents food temperatures and related DOH items as required
  • Collects orders for the household units as per the established process
  • Separates orders per household and delivers items to units
  • Stores items as per instructions and guidelines
  • Set up of 3 bay sink system in accordance with DOH and industry standards
  • Collection of food carts and soiled pans from house hold units
  • Pre-scraping of soiled pans
  • Soaking of soiled pans
  • Cleaning pans via mechanical or manual systems
  • Rinsing of pans
  • Sanitizing of pans
  • Air drying of pans using a dedicated "wet" rack system
  • Stacking of clean dry pans using a dedicated "dry" rack system
  • Return of all wash ware to proper storage areas
  • Records all DOH related data for safe operations
  • Cleans 3 bay sink and general area after each meal service
  • Set up of dish machine in accordance with DOH and industry standards
  • Pre scrapes and soaks china and silverware as instructed
  • Racks soiled dishware and flatware and sends through Hobart machine
  • Collects clean dishware and stores appropriately
  • Cleans dish machine and general area after each meal
  • Collection and proper removal of recyclables
  • Collection and disposal of trash
  • Cleaning products use and storage
  • Sweeping and mopping of food service areas
  • Putting away food service deliveries using guidelines provided
  • Cleaning of food trucks, dollies, dish carts, lowerators and similar equipment
  • Adherence to daily / weekly cleaning lists as outlined
  • Meets Quality Assurance standards and attends mandatory In-service-Training
  • Follows safety, infection control and fire safety practices
  • Responsible for reporting the malfunction of equipment


Candidate Requirements:



  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Minimum 3 months related experience preferred
