Introduction to the job

Do you want to be challenged by managing strategic suppliers regarding supply chain management, capacity planning and cycle time reduction towards competitive supply chain performance?

In today's complex multi-tier supply chains, this is only possible by creating full transparency in the chains and flexibility with suppliers. The Logistics Supplier Manager (LSM) addresses potential bottlenecks and supply risks before they impact our factories & customers.The LSMmust handle the increased complexity of ASML's systems while reducing the cost of ownership for our customers. To do this,the LSM works with strategic suppliers to continuously reduce cycle times, secure capacity & increase flexibility and develop supply chain performance of suppliers. Driving supplier development in these areas ensures the ASML supply base keeps pace with technological developments and can adapt to changing market conditions.

Role and responsibilities

  • Manage strategic suppliers towards competitive supply chain performance through sector metrics on lead time, on-time delivery & capability.

  • Lead initiatives to reduce cycle time with suppliers.

  • Plan, align, and develop the required capacity, buffers, and flexibility with our strategic suppliers.

  • Optimize output of the supply chain (n-tier) to meet ASML demand and demand changes.

  • Continuously monitor risks & drive action plans to mitigate/improve supply chain.

  • Lead escalation management to solve structural bottlenecks in the supply chain.

  • Implementation of the ASML supply chain planning roadmap at suppliers.

  • Execute supply chain capacity/capability/delivery audits at new, strategic, and/or critical suppliers.

  • Identify and implement internal supply chain process improvements.

  • Manage relationship with main supplier stakeholders and interfaces.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, engineering, business or other relevant disciplinerequired.

  • Minimum 5 years of direct work experience; of which a minimum of 3 years working experience with complex supply chain processes in manufacturing or high-tech industries is required. Preferred experience in low volume, high-mix environment.

  • Direct experience working on long term continuous improvement with supply/supplier versus demand management and/or purchasing/negotiationrequired.

  • Direct manufacturing/operations experience required.

  • Well versed in new product introduction (NPI) processes.

  • Proven record of accomplishment in building and maintaining strategic relations with suppliers.

  • CPSM or other equivalent professional certification preferred.

  • Experience working cross functionally with Operations, Engineering and Quality teams on complex projects.

  • Knowledge and experience in project management preferred.

  • Experienced in creating and presenting effective PowerPoint presentations to senior management.

  • Proficiency with SAP ERP software is a plus.

  • This position is located on-site in Wilton, CT. It requires onsite presence to attend in-person work-related events, trainings and meetings and to further ensure teamwork, collaboration and innovation. A flexible workplace arrangement may be available to employees working in roles conducive to remote work (up to two days a week).

  • May require up to 20% travel dependent on business needs.

This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. * 730, et seq.). Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to access such controlled technology prior to beginning work. Business demands may require ASML to proceed with candidates who are immediately eligible to access controlled technology.
