City/State Norfolk, VA Overview Work Shift First (Days) (United States of America) Sentara Health Acute Care is seeking an Occupational Therapist - Full Time for their Float Pool in the Hampton Roads Area (Southside) - Acute Care Full Time with Competitive Pay & Benefits to Include: Medical, Dental, Vision 401k/403B, Paid Time Off Tuition Assistance/Loan Repayment Work Perks & More! #Indeed Job Summary* Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs that improve functional mobility, relieve pain, improve or correct disabling conditions resulting from disease or injury and help build or restore vocational/ daily living skills as well as general independence. Provides age appropriate education for clients and caregivers. Supervise and assume responsibility for care provided by identified team members. NBCOT (National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification required within 6 months of eligibility. PACE and Resource Pool specific incumbents for this position require a minimum of one year of experience, with PACE experience working with the frail or elderly population. Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy preferred, NBCOT (National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy). Qualifications: BLD - Bachelor's Level Degree: Occupational Therapy (Required) Basic Life Support (BLS) - Certification - American Heart Association (AHA) RQI, NBCOT Certified Occupational Therapist - Certifications - National Board Certification In Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), Occupational Therapist License (OT) - State license - North Carolina Board of Occupational Therapy (NCBOT), Occupational Therapist License (OT) - State license - Other/National, Occupational Therapist License (OT) - State license - Virginia Department of Health Professionals (VADHP) Skills Sentara Healthcare prides itself on the diversity and inclusiveness of its close to an almost 30,000-member workforce.
