ACARA Solutions and our client in Scottsdale, AZ have a HYPBRID contract to hire position available.

Telecommunications Network Systems Engineer- Telecom & VoIP
$70.00-$75.00 per hour
Hybrid schedule 2 days from home, 3 days in office, and 9/80 work week
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Network Systems Engineer with a focus on cellular telecom and VoIP solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in voice and data gateways, SIP protocols, and network system modeling tools. This role involves system design, performance analysis, and collaboration across teams to ensure the successful implementation of advanced telecommunications systems.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design & Implementation: Perform design and implementation of cellular telecom and satellite communications systems, including VoIP and SIP services. Troubleshoot and resolve network issues as they arise.
  • Requirements Management: Conduct requirements analysis, functional analysis, and performance analysis. Develop and evaluate systems to ensure compliance with governmental security specifications.
  • Modeling & Simulation: Participate in Modeling and Simulation activities to assess system performance and functionality.
  • Research & Analysis: Research and analyze vendor products, COTS components, GFE/CFE, specifications, and manuals to determine design feasibility.
  • Leadership & Guidance: Provide leadership and direction to junior engineers and support engineering teams in the development and testing of network designs.
  • Proposal Support: Offer engineering support for proposals, contributing to the development of technical documentation and presentations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with development and test teams to ensure the successful completion of network design implementation and verification processes.
Qualifications:
  • Experience with voice and data gateways in cellular telecom or WAN networks.
  • Proficiency in SIP and VoIP protocols.
  • Familiarity with requirements management and network system modeling tools.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Systems Engineering or Science or Engineering or Mathematics
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with voice and data gateways for cellular telecom or WAN networks
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with SIP and VoIP protocols
  • Minimum of 5 years experience with requirements management & network system modelling tools
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree
  • Agile experience
  • Excellent knowledge of current state-of-the-art IP Networking techniques and technologies, particularly as applied to cellular telecom Radio Access Networks and Core networks
  • Exposure to 3GPP mobile network standards, particularly as related to the Core Network and Multi-Media Subsystem (MMS) elements
  • Excellent use and understanding of systems engineering and development lifecycle concepts and principles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective in communicating issues, impacts, and corrective actions.
