Duties & Responsibilities |
- Assist with coordination of clinical rotations; manage the process of routing, review, and implementation for new courses; organize room scheduling for courses; plan and participate in new student orientation programs; design and prepare recruitment materials for the graduate programs; compile data files on prospective students; support the program's admissions process, including making updates to GradApp and the program website; coordinate interviews for potential graduate students.
- Collect and organize all student records and data on program effectiveness; ensure compliance of graduate programs with appropriate policies, procedures, and specifications; monitor students' program of study and academic progress; compile evaluations of students and faculty; summarize evaluations for review by graduate program leadership
- Provide information and answers to procedural questions from faculty, staff, and current and prospective students. Identify and refer to appropriate departmental contact when unable to respond to questions.
- Develop, prepare, and coordinate program communications and marketing materials to engage with program faculty, staff, and current and prospective students; advise students and program leadership of potential problems with student progression; confer with students to provide technical advice and problem-solving assistance; answer questions about program goals and policy interpretation.
- Develop and facilitate workshops, meetings or conferences; coordinate logistics, scheduling, and communications to ensure program success; identify potential funding sources for individual students or the graduate programs; prepare or assist in preparation of funding proposals and accreditation documentation.
- Serve as the liaison to the Graduate College on behalf of the Department and the individual student; interpret Graduate College/University policy and procedures for graduate program students, staff, and faculty; help facilitate and coordinate commencement and related activities; additional duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):
- Demonstrated proficiency with basic computer programs and systems (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, web browsers and email management programs).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills including public speaking, the ability to draft instructional and promotional documents, and the ability to work and interact effectively with diverse audiences and in in a multi-cultural environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with students, faculty, staff, and administrators across a variety of units in a complex academic environment.
- Demonstrated ability to plan and achieve short- and long-term goals driven by the mission and goals of the graduate programs.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and successfully perform duties independently.
- Strong organizational skills, problem solving abilities and ability to maintain discretion and diplomacy toward sensitive and confidential information.
- Knowledge of University systems, procedures, and business rules to support the implementation of graduate programs.
- Knowledge of UA's Graduate College Policies and Procedures.

Minimum Qualifications |
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through professional level experience required.
- Three (3) years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Preferred Qualifications |
- Five (5) or more years direct experience coordinating graduate study programs.
