Work Schedule:

100% FTE, 40 hours per week. Monday - Friday 8:30AM - 5:00PM. No on-call, weekends, or holidays required at this time. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will work at UW Health 2275 Deming Way Clinic.

Pay:



  • External hires may be eligible for up to a $2500.00 sign on bonus.

Play an essential role in the quality and safety of patient care by providing accurate diagnostic and treatment information to caregivers and patients. At this location you will work with primarily pediatric specialty and adolescent medicine patients.

We are seeking a Phlebotomist to:





  • Perform standardized and specialized phlebotomy procedures on patients of all ages
  • Verify proper patient identification and specimen labeling
  • Perform specimen receiving and specimen processing
  • Complete patient check-in and order entry of laboratory tests in the laboratory information system


Qualifications


  • High School Diploma or equivalent Required
  • Completion of accredited Phlebotomy Training program and clinical rotation.

Work Experience

  • 6 months of Phlebotomy and Specimen Processing Experience Required
  • 1 year of experience in phlebotomy and processing Preferred

Licenses & Certifications

  • Phlebotomist (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or equivalent Preferred
  • Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) certification (American Society for Clinical Pathology) or equivalent Preferred
