USESI has an immediate warehouse opening within our Tucker, GA Distribution Center for a Receiving Associate. We are looking for a motivated and driven individual to join our team.

Job Summary:

The
Receiving Specialist is responsible for efficiently and accurately receiving
incoming shipments of products and materials. This role involves verifying and
documenting shipments, ensuring that products are received in good condition,
and maintaining inventory accuracy. The Receiving Specialist works closely with
other warehouse personnel and departments to ensure a smooth and efficient
receiving process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Receiving Shipments:
    • Unload incoming shipments from trucks and containers using appropriate
      equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
    • Inspect and verify the contents of shipments against purchase orders
      and packing slips for accuracy.
    • Document and report any discrepancies or damaged goods to the Receiving
      Supervisor.
  • Documentation and Data Entry:
    • Accurately record receiving data in the warehouse management system
      (WMS).
    • Maintain detailed and organized records of received goods, including
      quantities, product codes, and condition.
  • Inventory Management:
    • Ensure that received products are properly labeled and stored in
      designated warehouse locations.
    • Assist with cycle counts and physical inventories as needed to maintain
      inventory accuracy.
  • Safety and Compliance:
    • Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols while performing
      receiving tasks.
    • Use personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
    • Comply with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant
      regulatory requirements.
  • Collaboration and Communication:
    • Work closely with other warehouse staff, including shipping and
      inventory teams, to coordinate the movement and storage of goods.
    • Communicate effectively with suppliers and vendors regarding shipment
      issues or discrepancies.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
    • High school diploma or equivalent required.
    • Previous experience in a receiving, warehouse, or logistics role
      preferred.
    • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and inventory software is
      a plus.
  • Skills and Competencies:
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse
      equipment (certification may be required).
    • Basic computer skills, including data entry and use of inventory
      software.
    • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 75 pounds).
    • Prolonged periods of standing, walking, and bending.
    • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment with varying
      temperatures

Working Hours:

  • Shift: 10:00AM-7PM
  • Monday through Friday
  • Overtime may be required during peak periods.
  • Hours are subject to change
