UNM Medical Group, Inc. is hiring for a Medical Assistant to join our Center for Life Clinic. This opportunity is a full-time day shift opening located in Albuquerque, New Mexico. *Sign-On Bonus - $2,000* Minimum $37,814 - Midpoint $46,425* *Salary is determined based on years of total relevant experience. *Salary is based on 1.0 FTE (full time equivalent) or 40 hours per week. Less than 40 hours/week will be prorated and adjusted to the appropriate FTE. Summary:
Minimum Job Requirements of a Medical Assistant: 1. High school diploma or GED 2. Medical Assistant Program Graduate Certificate and 3. If applicable; current Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) 4. BLS certification **Please attach proof of education and licensure as indicated above. Integrative Medicine Integrative medicine works with conventional approach's to optimize healing. This healing-oriented practice focuses on the whole person-from factors that influence wellness to lifestyle habits. Integrative medicine modifies conventional approaches for optimal healing. Acupuncture Traditional Chinese medicine views disease as a result of an imbalance or blockage of Qi flow. Acupuncture is a method of balancing and building the body's life forces which flow through pathways in the body called meridians. Thin, sterile, stainless steel needles are inserted into specific points along meridians to disperse the blockage and/or mobilize the body's natural immune response. Chiropractic Medicine The diagnosis, treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system, especially the spine, joints and soft tissue.
