Position Highlights |
The Arizona Student Unions is looking for a Data Operations Assistant (Administrative Support Assistant I) to join our team. The Dining Operations Assistant position primary role is to support dining locations. The ideal candidate will possess analytical skills to assist with preparation of spreadsheet reports and invoice entry using our food management system, POS system, and vendor interfaces. The position assists with inventory maintenance in convenience stores. Duties & Responsibilities |
Data Entry and Database Oversight * Enter invoices accurately into FoodPro, the Food Management system. * Maintain and update item numbers for C-Store products, including pack size and pricing adjustments. Vendor and Inventory Coordination * Verify vendor approvals for ordering units to maintain supply chain efficiency. * Review all C-Store invoices for accuracy, ensuring pricing consistency. * Track and report on pricing trends and inventory fluctuations to ensure the unit remains competitive and aligned with current market conditions. * Identify issues like supply chain disruptions and take proactive steps to find alternatives and make recommendations to leadership. Inventory and Trend Analysis * Monitor inventory reports from C-Stores to identify pricing drifts, quantity changes and trends in product movement. * Utilize FoodPro to pull and analyze reports, importing data into Excel for further organization and evaluation. * Conduct market basket comparisons to assess competitive pricing and identify opportunities for price adjustments or promotions based on competitor analysis. * Evaluate pricing and inventory data to detect potential cost-saving opportunities or the need for adjustments based on market trends and historical data. Shelf Labeling and Pricing * Create and maintain shelf labels with item pricing, SKU numbers and shelf pricing. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Ability to effectively communicate both in written and verbal * Knowledge and proficiency in database systems and excel * Knowledge of convenience/grocery stores * Ability to work independently and as a team Physical requirements: * Must be able to move/transport a maximum of 40 pounds |
Minimum Qualifications |
- High School diploma or High School diploma equivalency is required

Preferred Qualifications |
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with retail inventory
- Retail purchasing experience
