Human Resource Assistant (ELO)

The Human Resource Assistant is responsible to maintain and support various Human Resource functions and activities. These functions are conducted in a confidential, accurate and customer focused fashion and include but not limited to: processing various HR transactions, Talent Acquisition & onboarding support, HR policy support; generation, completion, and submission of various reports, and administrative duties. Additionally, this role is responsible for supporting and providing a positive experience for new and current employees at all levels.

***This position is on a six (6) month, fixed-term basis and is based in East Liverpool, Ohio. This will be considered a full-time, benefits-eligible position for that period***

Essential Functions & Requirements:



  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to be respectful, approachable and team oriented while building strong working relationships
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and self-motivation
  • Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
  • Responsible for reviewing timecards and documenting changes / corrections.
  • Assist and resolve employee questions in regard to company policies and procedures.
  • Provide professional and timely customer service to employees of all levels by providing information and responding to questions in a timely and accurate manner
  • Assist with onboarding activities for all new hires to ensure complete and accurate information is collected and entered into HR systems and to ensure a positive experience for all candidates.
  • Provide professional and timely administrative support to the Director of Human Resources and other Heritage HR Teams as needed.
  • Ensure employee files are accurate, complete and maintained within specified timeframes for document/record retention purposes.
  • Assists with FMLA and other leaves, as well as required reporting - Affirmative Action, Vets Report, EEO, etc.
  • Coordinate employee appreciation and informational events.
  • Performs all activities with discretion and maintains the confidentiality of all information
  • Perform ad hoc requests and assist with special projects and other tasks or initiatives as needed.


Education:



  • High School diploma or equivalent. (required)


Experience:



  • Minimum of three (3) years Human Resources related experience. (required)
