As our Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on product design and development with a focus on complex projects requiring multidisciplinary leadership. In addition, provides support to business development functions as well as operations on existing products.

Qualifications & Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree (BSEE or BSME) and 3-4 years of design engineer experience or design/manufacture/test of electrical-mechanical component products
  • Working knowledge and design experience in RF Interconnect Technology and RF Passive and Active components preferred
  • Ability to obtain security clearance
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to act as a direct technical liaison with all internal and external functions, specifically applications engineering, program management, and field sales
  • Ability to use SolidWorks CAD platform and working knowledge of product data management and ERP systems
  • Ability to use/demonstrate test equipment to perform VSWR, insertion loss, and phase match testing
  • Intimate knowledge of specifications, regulations, and compliance requirements as they pertain to RF Microwave industry (i.e. military specifications, RoHS, UL, Plenum, etc.

What will you be Accountable for?



  • Perform product design and development of new products to meet customer-funded programs and new product development projects in accordance with Winchester Interconnect RF&M engineering standards, systems, procedures, and policies
  • Specify designs and document all materials, components, performance specifications, etc
  • Assigned high-complexity projects that can include work on multi-functions teams
  • Development project plans, objectives, budgets, and resource needs
  • Review and provide technical content of proposal/quote response (ie. specification reviews, design concept drawings, performance limits, etc.) to applications and sales teams, pre-award
  • Interface with program management, post-award, to ensure all technical schedule aspects of the program are met
  • Interface with suppliers to resolve any technical issues with products and/or services



How will you Collaborate?

You will have the opportunity to work closely with the Engineering department including design engineers, process engineers, and manufacturing engineers. Collaboration with operations, customer service, sales and quality will be essential to positively impact the business by helping to resolve issues.

  • Perform research to determine product design/development feasibility
  • Resolve issues impacting multiple departments and customers
  • Reviews project scope and recommends changes as necessary. Manages the scope of the assigned projects by identifying "in scope" and "out of scope" conditions
  • Work with minimal supervision
  • Lead multifunctional teams
  • Review the work of others inside and outside of the Engineering discipline
  • Speak to and lead effective discussions with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders on sensitive subjects
