Job Description
Position Summary:

Seeking a qualified individual to underwrite consumer loan requests to include: auto, motorcycle, RV, unsecured and home equity lines of credit. This individual will be a consumer loan product and procedure expert.

Position Description:

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Underwrite consumer loan applications using established policies and procedures.

  • Collaborate with Consumer Loan Officers to ensure:

  • **Loan applications are complete
  • **All required supporting documentation is obtained
  • **Required disclosures are provided on a timely basis
  • **Proper analysis of borrower credit worthiness
  • **Proper evaluation of collateral credit worthiness
  • **Compliance with Fair Lending Regulations
  • Maintain knowledge of loan products, policies and procedures, credit criteria, underwriting standards, interest rates and loan documentation requirements.

  • Utilize consultative approach with loan officers regarding denied loan applications.

  • Provide exceptional customer service to consumer lending team.

  • Recommend operational procedures to increase effectiveness of department operations.

  • Work together with all areas of lending including origination, consumer lending, commercial lending or any department within TBK Bank to ensure an efficient and effective team based division.

  • Participate in department and/or strategic projects as required

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required

  • 2 - 4 years of related experience preferred

  • Familiar with Fair Lending practices

  • Understanding of Fair Lending reporting

  • Familiar with lending industry guidelines

  • Detail oriented with exceptional organizational skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
