Position Highlights	We seek a postdoctoral scientist with experience in protein expression in bacteria, protein purification and protein characterization to participate in studies on RNA and DNA demethylases and their inhibition by nitric oxide. Skills in structural biology, spectroscopy, bioinorganic chemistry and/or mammalian cell culture will also be beneficial. Duties & Responsibilities	This position will focus on protein expression, purification and kinetic behavior of bacterially expressed demethylases. Additional characterization of demethylase inhibition by nitric oxide. Depending on the candidates background, this might include x-ray crystallography, mammalian cell growth and characterization, bioinformatics of changes in gene expression in tumor cells, or related mechanistic studies in vitro or in cells.
Minimum Qualifications	PhD in Biochemistry or related field. Experience in protein expression, purification and characterization.
Preferred Qualifications	Experience in structural biology, spectroscopy, kinetics and/or bioinorganic chemistry.
